Kaitlin was born, raised and educated in the Pensacola community and was eager to return home to the Gulf Coast after earning her Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Port Orange, Florida in 2009.
Dr. Ross comes from a strong military family and has a dedicated, passion for serving those and their families who have so proudly served our country. Kaitlin had the honor and privilege of being chosen as the first candidate to have been accepted into a Department of Defense Chiropractic Internship aboard the Naval Air Station Pensacola. Here she gained an invaluable knowledge of how chronic, physical pain resulting from serious trauma, and even “less serious” injuries, affects many of our military and veterans. In many cases, the pain interferes with normal function and the ability to perform daily duties.
Musculoskeletal problems are the most common type of medical issues showing up at Military Sick Call and VA hospitals. Unfortunately for many, chronic pain is written off as a new way of life for which strong narcotics are prescribed. This is unacceptable and we can do better. Although the situation has many perspectives, one positive light is that chiropractic care is available to everyone of any age or background.
On the subject of age, Dr. Ross says that it’s NEVER too early to start you or your family under chiropractic care. Infants just minutes old are often checked by the loving hands of the family chiropractor and it is not uncommon to stop by the chiropractor’s office on the way home from the hospital. The birthing process is physically strenuous for both mom and baby, so it is best to get them both cared for as soon as possible afterwards. That being said, it is never too late either! Children may enjoy the benefits of chiropractic care at any age or stage of development.
If you really want to maximize the benefits of chiropractic care for your child, you can start by taking care of mom while baby is still in the womb! Chiropractic care throughout pregnancy, birth, and childhood offers your family a solid foundation for wellness and choices that benefit you as you live a life of greater health and well-being.
Dr. Ross has a special interest in providing prenatal and postnatal chiropractic care. Chiropractic care during pregnancy helps establish pelvic balance and alignment .When the pelvis is misaligned it may reduce the amount of room available for the developing baby. When there is uterine constraint and a misaligned pelvis it may make it difficult for the baby to get into the best possible position for delivery. This can affect the mother’s ability to have a natural, non-invasive birth. Breech and posterior positions can interfere with the natural ease of labor and lead to interventions such as C-sections.
Over the last five years, Dr. Ross has had the opportunity to provide chiropractic care for the poor, underserved children and families in the Amazon of Brazil and furthered her outreach in Mexico and South Africa. In addition, Dr. Ross has proudly provided chiropractic care and devoted fan support to our local Champions, the Pensacola Ice Flyers Hockey Team.
With a reputation for caring and achieving results, Kaitlin continually communicates the value of chiropractic care, using a range of noninvasive techniques—like spinal manipulation, myofascial release, and therapeutic exercise, to treat neuro-musculoskeletal complaints and to promote a healthy spine.
Focused on helping you get well and stay well, Dr. Kaitlin Ross gives you the resources you’ll need to make great lifetime health decisions for yourself and your family. Creating a well-adjusted, more balanced life through chiropractic is something Dr. Kaitlin Ross is passionate about. When spinal alignment is improved, people are renewed thus often experiencing reduced pain, increased energy and more mobility. She strongly believes in treating each patient with individualized care. It is her goal that patients get the care and attention they deserve, and that while treating them, they are also being educated.
Her practice specializes in serving families, expectant mothers, infants and children, athletes and those looking to fully optimize their health.
When out of the office, you can find Kaitlin on the golf course, at the skeet range, monitoring sea turtle nests on Navarre Beach, in the stands at local sporting events and enjoying time with her family and dogs.
